According to Melton, San Francisco’s psychedelic music scene was relatively small when his group began. “When we first started as an electric band, there wasn’t much competition,” he says.

The Barry “the fish” melton band has been playing together since the early 1970s, and continues to uphold the tradition of San Francisco rock & roll that put the Bay Area on the musical map in the mid-1960s.
Barry performs all over the Bay Area & IN EUROPE with his band featuring Banana, the former keyboardist/ guitarist/ vocalist of The Youngbloods, Peter Albin, an original member of Big Brother & the Holding Company and roy blumenfeld, the founding member and drummer in the blues project.
